How Much Are The Pilates Classes?
A casual class cost for each participant is $32 dollars for a 60 minute class, where you will be in the studio with a maximum of 5 other people (total of 6 participants in one class). Private sessions are available with Claire our resident Accredited Exercise Physiologist/ Remedial therapist and Holistic Nutritionist who has been practising and treating chronic medical conditions/ musculoskeletal injuries and sports performance clients for over 12 years.
We also offer 5 and 10 session passes and a fortnightly ongoing subscription fee which are located in the booking system under the timetable/book a class tab.
Will My Private Health Cover Any Of Class Cost?
If you attend one of our AEP sessions with our Accredited Exercise Physiologists, and your particular health insurance provider/ level of cover is aligned with an ‘Exercise Physiology group session’, then yes, you may be eligible for a partial rebate on those classes only. Our Group Pilates classes are not claimable through any Health Insurance.
Who Will Be Instructing Me Within My Class?
Adapt with Pilates prides itself on physical therapy and the combination of exercise prescription benefits for both injury management, everyday postural awareness and correction, as well as sporting performance. Our team is comprised of Exercise Physiologist’s, who study a degree at university with respect to sports performance/ conditioning periodization and other specific techniques, as well as chronic disease management, including musculoskeletal injury. An AEP is the most qualified professional for exercise prescription when it comes to injury management, sporting performance and chronic disease. Our team also consists of well educated and accredited Pilates instructors who have a passion for movement with respect to corrective concepts within the Pilates exercise repertoire to help you work towards your general health, fitness and lifestyle goals.
I’ve Never Done Pilates Before, Do I Need To Do An Introductory Class First?
While it is a good idea to come in to complete a one on one session with one of our Exercise Physiologist’s to grade where you are at with respect to core strength, identify any obvious muscular imbalances or postural concerns, it is not mandatory, but will definitely help you get a grasp of the fundamentals before diving into a class environment. If you don’t have any prior health concerns or injuries, and are comfortable coming to a group class you can attend one of our Pilates Reform classes held with our Pilates instructors.
Can I Do A Class On My Own?
Yes! We offer one on one classes if you’d prefer to work on your concerns and goals in the studio, with that one one one attention. Please contact us to find out more information and book in your session!
I’m Only At A Beginner Level, Can I Still Do The Class That’s For A Higher Level?
While we prefer you to come in to the classes outlined based on what stage you are at within your Pilates practice, we do understand that sometimes class times are not offered when you can make it. We currently only have a maximum capacity for 6 participants in one class, which means we can adjust exercises to an extent to work within your capabilities.
How Many Classes Should I Be Doing Each Week To See An Improvement In My Core Strength, Posture And Fitness?
We recommend a minimum of two to three classes per week optimally, to really start noticing an improvement in all facets that the Pilates method offers. We understand that sometimes your time is precious, and you may not be able to get in this many times. Once a week will still reap the benefit’s, just at a slightly slower rate.
