Meet your Adapt with Pilates team of qualified Exercise Physiologists and Pilates Instructors.

Claire started using the Pilates method in her exercise rehabilitation clinics, with patient’s working through complex/chronic injury concerns. Claire could see the impact of regular teachings with the Pilates method had on injury outcomes and decided to open a small studio to implement this method, at a higher degree. The name of the Pilates studio was originally formed from Claire’s passion of science and the famous quote by Charles Darwin – “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change”.
The Pilates studio is much more than just a place for movement and exercise. It was formed with a holistic approach in mind, to tie in nutrition, movement, strength, adaptability to the elements, as well as recovery. This is where the adapt concept comes into the way we teach and guide our client’s with both holistic health and daily movement in mind. Claire is now taking booking for both individual and group classes, also with HICAPS available.

I first came across Pilates through completing my practical for my Exercise Physiology degree and was lucky enough to complete a large part of this with Claire at Adapt with Pilates. I fell in love with the ideology so much so I completed my Matwork Level 1 and Equipment Level 1,2 & 3.
I have learnt how important being able to understand how your body works and able to control movements allows us to live our lives with ease. Whether it is for rehab of acute or chronic injury/illnesses, sport performance or just to make usual daily activities easier I believe Pilates helps people reach their potential.
